Greg Lovett – CEO
Mr. Lovett is an accomplished senior executive with a proven track record in building, growing and improving companies ranging from privately-held start-ups to publicly-traded corporations operating globally.
At Axis, Mr. Lovett focuses on setting the strategic direction and in providing executive team leadership. With a deep history leading multiple operational areas, Mr. Lovett also provides tactical guidance and recommendations. During his tenure, the Company has doubled its revenue, increased its operating margins, built a top-tier executive team, and brought the Axis AI product to market.
Prior to joining Axis, Mr. Lovett held numerous C-level roles primarily in the fields of software and Internet-based technologies. Included in his background have been the positions of Chairman and CEO of Unique Retreat, LLC; CFO of Pacific Bluegrass, LLC (acquired by EnergyOne Technologies); SVP Integration and Quality for ClinPhone plc (LSE: CNP; acquired by PAREXEL International, NASDAQ: PRXL); and CFO of DataLabs, Inc. (acquired by ClinPhone plc, LSE: CNP).
Some of his accomplishments during his career include growing three prior companies to become successfully acquired; building a company from the ground up that culminated in creating an entirely new U.S. business vertical; shifting a company’s strategy which added an entirely new revenue stream and significantly multiplied the company’s valuation; leading the successful integration of two company-wide M&A combinations; developing a new business process engineering division that saved multiple millions in process improvements; and managing multiple mergers, acquisitions (buyer and seller side), and various forms of equity and debt financing that fueled those companies’ rapid growth.
Mr. Lovett’s experience spans virtually every facet of technology-based companies, but his primary focus has been setting strategy and vision casting, business conception and development, M&A and corporate integration, and finance and accounting.

Michael Valdes – Founder and President
Mr. Valdes has more than 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the technology and retail industries. Mr. Valdes is a hands-on executive with an extremely successful career in building teams plus creating and directing several organizations from small start-ups to large corporations.
He founded Axis back in 2002, since then it has been listed as one of Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing companies in 2007 and 2008. Axis ranked number 77 for the IT industry in its entirety on the first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country, in addition to ranking number 40 in Southern California.
Mr. Valdes is the driving force behind the company’s more than 100 clients. His portfolio of patrons includes well know brand names like Alcoa, Boston Scientific, Canon USA, City National Bank, First American Corporation, Lending Tree and Yamaha just to name a few.
Prior to forming the Axis Technical Group, Mr. Valdes served as Business Development Manager for Computer Dynamics. His strategic approach to building successful teams is reflected throughout his career and in his work at Computer Dynamics. While there his model of relationship-based sales and a resilient focus on quality customer service quickly propelled him to being one of the company’s top performers.
His responsibilities at Axis include identifying and diagnosing sales and growth opportunities, working with the Axis team to refine our organizational structure, product lines, sourcing, sales channels, market position, logistics, and operations. As president he continues to lead the organization forward with new technology and market opportunities in the Real Estate, Financial, and Healthcare industries.
Drumil Khambete – EVP, India Operations
Founded Axis’s India division and heads India operations from Axis’s Pune office.
Mr. Khambete has 15 years of diverse experience across multiple software delivery disciplines and extensive technology leadership experience in strategic planning, project/program management, IT governance, enterprise architecture, process design, and process re-engineering. As a part of the offshore operations management he looks after financial management, cost management, talent acquisition and team building as well as ensures a strong track record of successful project delivery, client satisfaction, team retention and project profitability.
At Axis Technical Mr. Khambete is focused on bringing technology leadership and strategic alignment to complex business and technology initiatives in geographically distributed research, development and support operations of the company. Having conceptualized the Axis AI product, Mr. Khambete was responsible for identifying the specific business need for the underlying technology and has been leading the integration and development of the Axis AI technology stack.
Mr. Khambete also serves a board member of multiple NGOs and Charity organizations working for the betterment of underprivileged children.
Mark Werner – SVP, Product Management and R&D
Mr. Werner leads the product strategy across various disciplines and is responsible for commercializing and enhancing the Axis AI platform, as well as supporting the real estate and financial verticals.
He has spent close to 25 years of “C” and “VP”-level software and product development leadership experience in the real estate information and technology industries. Mark is somewhat of a real estate technology icon in that he designed, developed, and maintained the largest public land records imaging and title plant system in the real estate industry.
Other notable accomplishments include that he designed and managed the development of an automated production workflow system reducing operations staff significantly, saving millions a year, while increasing overall productivity and decreasing time to market. He was also instrumental in the organic growth of the First American Data Tree group by $30M in less than seven years by identifying and developing new market segments and products.
Prior to joining the Axis Technical Group, Mr. Werner was Division Information Officer (DIO) for both First American Data Tree LLC, a national provider of property data and document images to the mortgage and real estate industry, and Data Trace Information Services LLC, a national title technology and title plant provider. While at First American Data Tree LLC, Mr. Werner architected and led the development of the world’s largest real property document image database and delivery system consisting of over 5.5 billion document images covering over 85 percent of the U.S. population.
Mr. Werner has also served as Senior Software Development Manager for Control Systems Analysis (CSA), a privately owned engineering firm providing modeling and simulation tools to perform systems engineering, systems and safety analysis, eLearning, and fault isolation for mission critical control systems. He designed, architected, and developed the Interlocks simulation and modeling tool set that were used as the basis for the organization.
Kenneth Tu – VP, Strategic Consulting Services
Mr. Tu is a seasoned leader, architect, and software engineer with 20+ years of success delivering complex enterprise level systems. As a team oriented professional who takes pride in leading and developing software solutions to solve today’s real-world business and technology challenges, he also enjoys collaborating with stakeholders to provide transparency and successfully deliver on strategy, feasibility, and requirements of software initiatives.
Prior to Axis, Mr. Tu consulted for many years with disparate clients ranging from large corporations to startups. He has experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering, business analysis, design, development, integration, delivery and maintenance. Mr. Tu has also successfully worked with geo-distributed development teams on multi-million dollar project implementations and with a start-up from incubation to company sale.
Ken is responsible for the architecture and implementation of the Axis AI product line. He also leads the development team to deliver the Axis AI product line by using leading technologies to address the technical challenges.
Russ Armbrust – VP, Business Development
Mr. Armbrust is a senior executive with a track record in establishing the strategies needed to successfully drive change and deliver results. Mr. Armbrust has successfully delivered higher revenue, cost and process efficiency and customer satisfaction across the businesses through strong relationship building and execution. Through is past 20 year’s experience, Russ has an in-depth knowledge in many industries including Mining, Oil and Gas, and the Transportation industry.
Prior to joining Axis, Mr. Armbrust was the VP of Business Development for Seeing Machines, where he worked with senior executive management developing and executing sales strategies and solutions for multiple industries. His expertise, and success in these fields were a driving factor for a successful sell of a portion of their organization to a major OEM.
Russ’ responsibilities at Axis Technical are to be responsible for the overall management and execution of the company’s business development organization.
Kyle Duffy – VP, Product Management & Delivery
With over a dozen years of technical solution expertise, Mr. Duffy has adopted the role of an ‘industry chameleon’ with experience in mining, manufacturing, energy, transportation and many more. His passion for problem solving as well as integrating efficient and permanent strategies leads to rectification of issues before they become hazardous to a project. His prior operational leadership roles have proved to be a valuable asset to maximize and sustain operational performance by incorporating the use of smart technology with capable human capital.
Mr. Duffy has developed and driven global strategic SaaS solution initiatives for multiple Fortune 500 companies. He has designed, automated and implemented millions of dollars into high-visibility dynamic process control systems. His expertise allows him to work under complex environmental regulations and he has created numerous cost-saving solutions for other organizations throughout his career by leveraging his root cause analysis and constantly finding ways to progress his skills.
Prior to his time at Axis, Mr. Duffy worked for a variety of Fortune 500 companies. In those companies, he used his leadership experience as well as his strategic mindset to find success in the roles that he has obtained. He is fully responsible for both product management of Axis AI, as well as the related client delivery. Mr. Duffy also works closely with the software development group and clients – ensuring that their expectations and project plans are being met.
Mandar Waghmode – Senior Director, Research & Development
Mr. Waghmode brings a unique perspective to Axis with twelve years of R&D expertise spanning machine learning, developing optimization algorithms and automation of semiconductor design process. Mr. Waghmode is the principal creator of Axis’ patent pending information extraction technology deployed in Axis AI product line.
Experience includes driving product life cycle from R&D perspective – starting with understanding end-user problem, researching solutions, architecting, implementing and delivering the end-product. Working in globally distributed and collaborative R&D environments. Working with stakeholders for complex technology driven solutions. Strategizing, creating R&D roadmap and implementing involved computational software systems. Hiring and grooming talent to build a technology focused team.
Prior to joining Axis in 2013, he was a member of R&D team at Synopsys Inc, a leading company in Electronic Design Automation industry. While at Synopsys, Mr. Waghmode developed differentiating optimization capabilities giving a competitive edge to Synopsys’ next generation physical synthesis product.
He also held various R&D positions at Magma Design Automation. While at Magma, Mr. Waghmode significantly improved the optimization results, performance and quality of algorithms used in Magma’s logical and physical synthesis tools, at times working closely with application and presales engineering and the end users.
Mandar has also managed a number of engineering roles at Nital Computer Systems with expertise in diverse aspects of Integrated Circuit design technology. He has multiple research publications in prestigious conferences and journals in the field.
Cary DeShon – Director of Accounts and Recruiting
Mrs. DeShon has worked with Axis since its inception in 2002. Over her tenure, she has facilitated the placement of hundreds of staffing positions for our clients. The types of positions include Architects, Sr. Net Developers, Informatica/ETL Developers, SQL DBA’s, SQL Developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and QA Analysts.
Mrs. DeShon played an integral role in helping one of our largest clients, First American, with their massive legacy migration project, to ensure that all staffing objectives were met, and our service levels exceeded expectations. In addition, Mrs. DeShon has filled various IT positions for the vast majority of Axis’s clients such as Alcoa, Canon USA, City National Bank, CoreLogic, Pacific Dental Services, Transamerica, Scantron, Loan Depot, Lending Tree, CCI Valve, Yamaha, Viewtech Financial Services, TK Carsites, Qualcomm, and Standard Pacific Homes.
Prior to joining Axis Mrs. DeShon worked in the mortgage loan, commercial lending and financing industry for a number of employers including Unicor Funding and Brokers Acceptance. During that time, she won numerous achievements including “Sales of Excellence.” Her extensive background in the financial and lending market empowers Axis to identify world-class talent to service our clients.
Chad Kocher – Director of Marketing
Mr. Kocher has over 10 years’ experience in strategic business and marketing development, audience engagement, client relationship management and digital multimedia. Chad aims to deliver exceptional return on marketing investment by developing and executing impactful and memorable client-facing programs and campaigns that will leverage the product, services and expertise that Axis Technical has to offer.
Prior to joining Axis, Mr. Kocher held the position of Field Marketing Manager for Neudesic, a national systems integrator and product developer. He was responsible for numerous large-scale, marketing initiatives that yielded increased profits and sustainable growth for the company. He is a well-rounded creative professional with product and services marketing experience for various clients and industries, including healthcare companies, IT consulting partners, product manufacturers, advertising agencies, architecture firms and non-profit organizations.
His responsibilities include the overall management and execution of the company’s strategic marketing and brand management initiatives.
